Bay Area Water Agencies are asking the public to conserve more water

After multiple dry winters, a couple of the Bay Area’s biggest water agencies moved forward with plans to urge the public to conserve more water.

Marin Water’s board of directors declared a water shortage emergency and adopted mandatory water use restrictions on April 20. The goal of the restrictions is to achieve a 40 percent reduction in water use districtwide. (Marin Water 2021).
